Greetings from the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS) at NC State University!
We are eager to share a wonderful opportunity for you coming up this summer, July 17-19, 2018 at NC State University called Grow Academy.
Grow Academy is a collaborative effort between Horticultural Science, Crop and Soil Sciences, Plant and Microbial Biology, Animal Science, and Poultry Science at NC State. The Academy empowers high school math, science, and technology educators with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on curricular activities to teach NC Standards for Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Common Core Math concepts in an agricultural context.
It is an all-expenses paid, residential, 3 day workshop at NC State that will provide immersive and research-focused experiences in plant, animal, and soil sciences for secondary technology, science, and math educators.
We are now accepting applications and hope you will consider forwarding this to teachers you feel may be interested. Spots are limited.
